Preliminary Task Magazine

For the Preliminary magazine task i worked on my own to create my piece. When planing my front and content page, i looked at many covers of the magazines i like a read for inspiration, for example the Complex magazine and Sneaker Freaker magazine. I used my own still camera to take a mid level picture of 1 of my friends. I also used a photo shop on a computer to produce my magazine and to edit my pictures. The factors i had to consider were that i couldn't use a picture of myself for the magazine because this would show my photograph skills. My magazine follows a music and fashion based convention for my college. The target audience for my magazine would be teenagers aged 13- 18 which go to Lutterworth College. This would appeal to them because i have used and urban look with the font and colours that i have used. I was told by my teacher and other students that my magazine cover and content look really affective and is appealing. Considering this i would say that it is successful. From producing my magazine i have learned many new skills such as; using a camera correctly, importing pictures from a camera to a computer and using photoshop.
